Howdy friends! Today i write you from a train car zipping down the Californian coast. This is hands down one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced, and I am elated to be taking in the views. This past week since our last day off has been long and crazy, and our two days off have been much needed.
I think what's astounded me the most so far has been how drastically different it has felt coming into Warped tour simply knowing the basics of how this tour runs in comparison to last time. In 2012 none of us had ever worked Warped Tour before, didn't know anyone, and were essentially flying by the seat of our pants. This time we know the drill. We've been to these venues before, met the people, and understand the daily routine.
Streaming services are not going to become the new bread & butter for artists (I'll do another blog post in the future breaking down payment structures for musicians from each different service), but today's post focuses on usability for the consumer, which in my opinion is the deciding factor in which service most users prefer.
I'm going to try and start posting little snippets every Tuesday about the new music I'm currently loving. In the music world, Tuesday is the day for new releases, but rather than just focusing my attention on what's new, I'm gonna tell you all hopefully about artists/albums that I've been listening to as well, new releases or not. This week, I'm picking two artists: Twin Forks, and KONGOS.
